HAYDEN ALEXÂ BURFORD
BIOGRAPHY
Hayden is a 23-year-old musician from the Wirral. He is known for being a versatile electric and acoustic guitarist, who uses advanced techniques such as tapping and using the body of the guitar for percussion while playing, to create original music and to widen his sound. His current influences are Jon Gomm, James Chatfield and Newton Faulkner. He also has some experience playing drums, piano and bass.

Hayden has experience working in acoustic and electric bands. He loves working with others, but is currently working on writing his own original music.
Hayden studied Popular Music Performance at Leeds Arts University which opened opportunities to record and perform covers and original music.
Early Life
Hayden is trans and grew up female but was often seen as a 'Tomboy'. When he was young, he was part of the scout movement, he enjoyed climbing, free running and judo. However, once he started learning to play the guitar he soon realised this was his real passion.
Since Hayden started playing in 2011, he has completed every Rockschool guitar exam from 1-8 gaining either merits or distinctions. He gained a merit in grade 8 electric guitar and also a merit in grade 5 music theory.
Hayden has lots of experience performing in a range of settings such as: open mic nights, Great British Music Camp and university gigs.
Hayden grew up listening to lots of different styles of music and over the years of guitar grades, summers at Great British Music Camp and his studies at Leeds Arts University he has had the opportunity to play lots of different genres too. This means he is very versatile and is used to playing in lots of styles.
